What a great day!!
Today's class we practiced what could happen in a shopping store and when dealing with the general public.
We also practiced getting familiar with wheelchairs, and crutches.
At the end of class, we discussed questions the public can and cannot ask.
Today we started week 1 of our training packets.
John and Scott worked with Molly practicing basic Canine Good Citizen skills.
Kim reviewed tasking training with our teams that passed their Public Access Test.
Joan, Kathy and Samantha worked with our teams to practice the Public Access Test. Tommy and Buddy worked on "place."
Everyone was so proud of Denny and Queenie for her ability to "bring it"
Tomorrow is our 1st Annual Dog T.A.G.S. Picnic! See you there!!
Today in class we reviewed meet and greats between 2 dogs.
We also worked on heeling, crossing, and the command "come front."
We will be holding our first annual picnic on June 29! We look forward to having our first official get-together out side of class!
Next week, Doug, Kim Sam and Brad will head to the Poconos to discuss Dog T.A.G.S. with some veterans groups! See you next week!
Today is our first official day of class!
Kim went over all the details of our 12 week training sessions. She went over the teams. She reviewed where each team was placed (Canine Good Citizen and Public Access preparation).
During our group share, it was awesome to see some of our teams really bonding
